Peter McCormick is the Chief Supply Officer of Viatris. He has been with Viatris and its legacy companies since 1994 and was appointed to his current position in April 2024.
Peter is a skilled operational leader with more than 30 years of experience in multiple facets of business operations including supply chain management; sourcing; environmental, health and safety; quality; regulatory; engineering; and manufacturing operations. His career has focused on leading organizational performance and transformational change and translating business goals into executable strategies.
He previously served as Viatris’ Global Head of Oral Solid Dose and Dermatologics Science & Operations, and held positions of increasing responsibility within Mylan including Head of Oral Solid Dose Operations; Senior Vice President and Head of Global Supply Chain Management; Vice President and Head of Technical Operations in Japan; and Vice President and Regional Head of Supply Chain Management in the Asia Pacific region.
Prior to Mylan, Peter was Global Head of Supply Chain for Merck Generics and spent nine years at Alphapharm in a number of operational leadership roles.
Peter earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration, majoring in management, at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, and has undertaken post-graduate studies in supply chain management at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He also completed the Viatris Executive Leadership Academy at Harvard Business School.
